"The Spring Cricket
Challenge" - Cricket in Atlanta - ANZACC vs BABG
Sunday May 4th, 2008 1pm - 5pm
The
International School is set to host another
legendary challenge match between the BABG and
ANZACC. So come along - everyone is welcome -
bring the family, and meet some new friends!
The event will be very informal, so bring your
adult beverages of choice, and we will provide
snacks, sodas and equipment for players. There
will be a marquee to provide cover in case of
rain, and ample cricket knowledge on hand to
overcome any bewilderment on the boundary.
This should be great fun, and the continuation
of a splendid friendship between our
associations.
Please note that there is a $10
per player fee to fund the pitch rental.
Pre-pay online now to
secure your participation.
If you are interested in playing, email
Jim Geddes
and be sure to show up at 12.30pm for a little
introduction/practice. First ball will be at
1.30, and the match should last approximately 3
hours. British American team players are asked
to wear white shirts, and the ANZACC team
yellow.
Directions to the pitch, Parking
The International School is in the middle of
Buckhead, at 2890 North Fulton Dr, Atlanta,
GA 30305 [map].
We recommend approaching the school from
Peachtree St, going east on Delmont Drive. After
about 100 yards as the road starts to turn
right, turn left up a short steep entrance to a
parking lot. Park anywhere and then head up the
far side of the sports ground to the white
marquee. [recommended directions]
Thanks from your organizers:
Andy McCartney (BABG) and Jim Geddes (ANZACC).
